Clinical Senior Lecturer Medical Oncology/Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology

Applications are invited for a new clinical academic post, based in the Institute of Cancer and Genetics in the School of Medicine at Cardiff University and at the Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff. This represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of Medical Oncology Clinicians with a particular interest in seeing the clinical application of recent developments in novel cancer therapeutics and tumour biomarkers to the personalised treatment of cancer patients.

Applicants should be medically-qualified with appropriate post-graduate certification in Medical Oncology and a higher research degree. Tumour site-specialisation and areas of research interest will be open to negotiation with the successful candidate. Applications will be particularly welcome from candidates with clinical expertise in the use of systemic anti-cancer therapies for lung and/or urological malignancies, and with an established track record in translational laboratory research, preferably employing molecular and/or cell biology techniques.

Salary: £72205 - £93742 per annum (Clinical Grade D6)
