The Freeman Hospital has been designated as the specialist surgical centre for congenital heart disease in the north of England. We are delighted to offer opportunities for highly motivated, ambitious individuals to join our well integrated team at a pivotal moment in the development of paediatric cardiac care in England.

Three posts are available. The successful candidates will be part of a team of 7 Consultant Paediatric Cardiologists which provide the regional paediatric cardiology service. Our unit also provides supra regional services for paediatric transplantation, ECMO and heart Failure Treatment. In addition to strong general paediatric cardiologists, we seek to recruit colleagues with sub-specialist expertise which complements existing skills in the department. Desirable sub-specialist interests are cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, catheter intervention and foetal cardiology. In addition to the challenges of the role, we can offer you a  commitment to teaching, education, research and audit.

Candidates for the post must be registered medical practitioners and on, or eligible to join, the Specialist Register within six months of the date of the Appointments Committee.
