This is a fixed term sessional appointment for five years at 6 to 10 sessions per fortnight.

Position Profile: The appointee will be expected to undertake a full range of medical management for a large tertiary hospital and also participate in the after hours duty Medical Director roster. You will be responsible to the Executive Director Fremantle Hospital and Health Service for providing clinical leadership, strategic advice and undertaking change management and projects related to the delivery of medical services across Fremantle and Kaleeya campuses.

Area Profile: Fremantle Hospital and Health Service is located within walking distance from the trendy café strip, Fremantle Markets and Fremantle Oval, home of the Fremantle Dockers. This idyllic port city is situated 19 km south west of Perth and is famous for the “Freo Doctor”, the local sea breeze that sweeps through the city, providing a cool relief on those hot summer days. The location of the hospital means that you will not be in a hurry to head home after work, as some of Western Australia’s finest restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs are in close proximity to work and you can safely travel home on the train, bus or even jump on a Ferry and head to Rottnest for the weekend.
