Locum Appointment for Training or Locum Appointment for Service

One full time post working at level ST3 or above

Available from 1st August 2012 to 5th February 2013.

These posts are based in the brand new Forth Valley Royal Hospital which is a state of the art modern acute hospital with the full range of clinical services and supporting departments. Applications are invited from experienced and enthusiastic candidates for these highly respected training posts in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

The department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology has a team of 11 Consultants & 1 Associate Specialist, as well as combination of Speciality Trainees, Foundation Year II and GP specialist trainees. The department provides comprehensive obstetric & gynaecology services to a population of approximately 290,000 people and over 3,000 deliveries per annum.

The level of responsibility will be at middle grade level. A full shift system is working at 48 hours per week.

There are well established junior and middle grade training programmes and it is expected that you will participate in these sessions. The Postgraduate Dean has confirmed that this post has the required educational and staffing approval.
