St Luke’s Cancer Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford

Applications are invited for this Specialty Doctor post at St Luke’s Cancer Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital. You will be based at the Cancer Centre in Guildford, and will participate in Clinics and Ward work at St Luke’s Cancer Centre and, where necessary, at Cancer Units within the South West Surrey and Hampshire (SWSH) Cancer Network.
 The Oncology Department includes 14 Consultants including four Medical Oncologists and ten Clinical Oncologists. You will join a thriving and expanding Centre. An extension to the Department is planned to house a new Chemotherapy Unit, and there is an established IGRT/IMRT Programme. There is ample opportunity for service development and research, as well as practical experience in advanced Radiotherapy Techniques, and the appointee will be encouraged to develop their Oncology experience and appropriate Tumour site specialisation.
 This is a full time, ten Programmed Activities post; applications will be considered from persons wishing to work part time, and family-friendly policies are in place.
 The Royal Surrey County Hospital is well placed in the Cathedral and University City of Guildford, and located only 40 minutes from both London and the South Coast, with excellent nightlife, shopping and sports facilities.
