Clinical Research Fellow

MRC Band 3 £35,935 - £43,914 p.a.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow specialising in Clinical Oncology. This is a 3 year training and development position for those who are clinically qualified and are aiming to develop their research skills. The applicant should be GMC registered with a good grounding in Clinical
Oncology (FRCR or equivalent).

You will work as an independent scientist within our established research team which includes Dr Carolyn Taylor FRCR, Dr David Cutter FRCR, and Professor Sarah Darby PhD. You will work on the design and implementation of new studies involving estimation of radiation doses to organs at risk from various radiotherapy regimens. Doses derived from CT planning will be applied to outcome data in order to generate dose-response relationships which could be used to guide radiotherapy treatment planning in the future. The post involves preparation of scientific articles for publication, as well as provision of Clinical Oncology input for some of our ongoing studies. You will be expected to study towards a D Phil degree.
