Initially three month duration from 1st October 2012, pending advertisement and appointment of substantive post, with a specialised interest in Urological Cancer and one in Lung or Breast Cancer.
 Applications are invited for a whole time Consultant Medical Oncologist with a specialised interest in Urological Cancer. This is initially a three month Locum post pending the advertisement and appointment of a substantive post. You will join an existing Consultant workforce of 15, including 12 Clinical Oncologists and three Medical Oncologists.
 The Cancer Centre, based at the James Cook University Hospital, serves a population of 1.1 million and benefits from being at the heart of one of the largest Acute Trusts in the country. All major services are present on the one site, giving the Department excellent support in all aspects of Medicine, Surgery and Diagnostic Services. You will be based at The James Cook University Hospital and will support the Cancer Unit at the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton.
 An exciting Oncology expansion project has recently been completed at James Cook and a new and expanded Chemotherapy Unit, designed to meet the increasing demand for systemic treatment, is already operational. An acclaimed new build adjacent to the main Department houses a new Outpatient Unit, along with a new Radiotherapy Planning Suite and three further Linear Accelerators.
 You must already be on the General Medical Council’s (GMC) Specialist Register or be eligible for the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) within six months of the interview.
