Salary from £30,992 to £53,663 a year

Applications are invited for a Clinical Lecturer in Endocrinology and Diabetes based in the School of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. The post is linked to the Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (CEDAM), underpinning major international and world-leading research excellence in translational endocrinology, steroid hormone action, obesity and metabolism, diabetes and autoimmunity, and endocrine cancer.

The successful applicant will be an academic endocrine trainee with appropriate clinical and research profile and the potential to pursue a successful academic career as indicated by a higher academic degree and original research publications. The post holder will be expected to contribute significantly to the established research and education programmes of the School and Centre. The post attracts academic specialist trainee status (academic NTN), with the clinical components of training as part of the West Midlands endocrinology and diabetes speciality programme being delivered in rotation across the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital Birmingham (UHB), NHS Foundation Trust, and Birmingham Heartland’s Hospital, part of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.
