Applications are invited for this post to build upon the existing complement of Rheumatologists within the Trust. The successful candidate will join a team of Physicians across Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust has a consistent record of developing innovative, high quality services while delivering highly rated teaching and training. Subspecialist skills to complement our current services will be welcomed.
The essential requirements for this post are: Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gain entry to the UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Clinical experience in Rheumatology. Full accreditation with the appropriate Royal College. To be eligible for consideration for a Consultant appointment by an Appointments Committee, candidates must be fully registered on the UK General Medical Council’s (GMC) Specialist Register. Specialist Registrars may apply if within six months of achieving the CCT at date of interview; The appointee will be required to maintain full GMC registration and revalidation and should follow the GMC’s Code of Good Medical Practice. MBBS Certificate.

The post will be based at Wansbeck General Hospital but the postholder may be required to work at other sites within the Trust. Recruitment for this post will be via an Assessment Centre over two days.
