Consultant Neurologist with an interest in Stroke Medicine

You will provide specialist neurological and stroke services to the Bradford and Airedale area. The post has been confi gured as part of an on-going expansion of the department of neurology and to support a developing stroke service. It combines outpatient and inpatient sessions in neurology and stroke medicine.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was one of the fi rst wave Foundation Trusts and is recognised as a high performing, effi cient organisation. The Trust provides acute services for the City of Bradford and surrounding areas. Neurology and Stroke Medicine share an acute ward at Bradford Royal Infi rmary and a rehabilitation unit at St Luke’s Hospital and enjoy a close working relationship. Radiology, neurophysiology, and neuro-rehabilitation are well established locally and there are close links with the neuroscience unit in Leeds with regards to support from neurosurgery and continuing professional development.
