Executive Medical Director
Are you a dynamic, inspirational and innovative leader? Do you have the determination and experience to lead the medical workforce across acute and community services at Whittington Health? Do you have proven experience as a senior medical manager in a large acute and/or community trust?
You will be an executive member of the Board of Directors, the most senior doctor in the Trust. Working jointly with the Director of Nursing & Patient Experience leading on clinical performance and clinical governance across the organisation, you will also work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Medical Director Integrated Care to achieve the Trust’s service objectives including productivity and quality.
You will be able to:
- advise the Trust board on medical matters
- work jointly with the Medical Director (Integrated Care), lead clinical collaboration within the Trust and across organisational boundaries
- lead the medical implications of service reconfiguration and patient safety
- be Whittington Health’s Responsible Officer for revalidation, responsible for clinical performance and conduct, medical education, and consultant appraisal.
You will show a proven track record of producing and implementing policies and strategies in developing and modernising medical practice.
The hours of the post can be flexible, but at a minimum of three days per week. Two days to fulfill the requirements of the responsible officer could be delegated.
