Clinical Research Fellow


Respiratory Medicine

Salary: £31,523 - £44,856 plus £1,505 London Allowance p.a.

A Clinical Research Fellow is required to work within the Muscle Laboratory at the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit to carry out a project funded by the Medical Research Council investigating a pharmacological agent to enhance the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

You will join a collaborative team and be involved in all aspects of the study gaining experience in physiological measurement. You will be required to develop an area of research interest within this programme and to register with Imperial College London for a higher degree.

You should have MRCP (Membership of the Royal College of Physicians), and clinical experience in the field of respiratory medicine is essential. You should be organised and able to prioritise, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present successfully at conferences and seminars.

The post is available from 1 October 2012 and is fixed-term for 30 months. You will be based at the Royal Brompton campus.
