Applications are invited for the posts of Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, one is a replacement post and the other is a new post. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly Directorate in a forward-looking, medium sized Acute Hospital, and we wish to appoint Consultants who will add value to the Service.
These appointments will bring the Department up to four Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) Respiratory Consultants. These posts are to help us reduce our Outpatient Clinic waiting times and to improve our Inpatient Care and patient flow, and also allow further development and improvement of our Services.
The Department is based at Stafford Hospital, where most of the Acute Medical Beds, Respiratory Ward and main Lung Function Laboratory are located. There are Respiratory Clinics at both Stafford and Cannock Hospital. We offer a wide range of Services, Including Respiratory Allergy and Immunotherapy, Cancer, Sleep Disorders and Non-invasive Ventilation. The posts include General Medical on-call commitment, which is expected to be 1:19.
Stafford Hospital is modern and well equipped with a forward-looking management team. Stafford is the county town in the rural heartlands of Staffordshire, with excellent road and rail connections and close to Birmingham, Nottingham and Manchester International Airports. Stafford has all the advantages of city and rural living combined. Single accommodation is available and family accommodation may be available.
