Applications are sought for a Registrar in our Cardiothoracic Department for a one year position with a start date as soon as possible.
This post offers a unique opportunity for someone with Cardiothoracic SURGICAL experience, although we would consider someone with Surgical experience and an interest in Cardiothoracic.
The candidate will require to be registered within a provisional general scope or special scope of practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
The Cardiothoracic Department is located at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand. It is a Teaching Hospital and Tertiary Referral Centre, with a population catchment of 900,000 people and expects to do 700 open Cardiac cases and 150 Thoracic cases in 2012.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in all aspects of the patient care continuum and participate in Clinical Research and other quality initiatives of the Department.
