Applications are invited for the above post to commence from 1st August 2012 for a period of six months initially.
The primary duties of the post include management responsibilities for patients on the Cardiology Wards and participation in Cardiology Outpatient Clinics. One-two sessions may also be made available for specific activities related to Core Cardiology Training depending on the individual needs of the successful candidate.
The postholder will also be required to actively participate in the weekly business and educational meetings including the joint Cardiology Cardiothoracic Meeting, Echo Meeting, Journal Club and Audit Meeting. In addition, participation in Audit and Research activities of the Department will be strongly encouraged. The ideal candidate should have MB.ChB or equivalent, MRCP, Cardiology experience and basic knowledge of Echocardiography. Salary will be paid in accordance with the Specialty Registrar (StR) (FT) pay scale which currently ranges from £29,705 to £39,300 per annum.
