Clinical Research Fellow

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.

Applications are invited for a research fellowship within the Departments of Medicine and Oncology at the University of Cambridge. This is a new post funded by Kidney Research UK. The project aimed at stratification of patients with renal cell carcinoma using functional TNF receptor polymorphisms will involve clinical, molecular and cell based studies. Supervision will be provided by Dr John Bradley, Dr Simon Pacey and Professor Tim Eisen.

The post is suitable for applicants wishing to pursue a career in medical oncology, clinical oncology, surgical oncology or nephrology, who have completed general professional training. Those with NTNs seeking a period out of programme for research are welcome to apply. The post may also be suitable for non clinical applicants with a relevant first degree. The successful applicant will be expected to study for a PhD.

This appointment is subject to a health assessment and successful application for a Clinical Honorary Contract. Whether outcomes are satisfactory will be determined by the University.
