Applicants are invited for this replacement full time post, which offers an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Neurologist.
Gloucester Royal Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large District General Hospital and a Medical Academy for Bristol University.
This replacement post provides an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly team of Neurologists in Gloucestershire, whose current special interests include Epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s Disease and education: Geraint Fuller (currently president-elect of the ABN), Roswell Martin, Paul Morrish and Mark Silva (Chief of Service Medicine).
The appointee will take an active role in the Neurology Service with full participation in cross-county Clinical Activities and Teaching. The post will be based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The Trust was formed in April 2002 and became a Foundation Trust in July 2004. A successful Trust with a strong track record of achievement, we are situated mainly on two sites, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital, providing Acute Services to Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire is a highly desirable place to live and work – and an escape from the big city. The county, which includes the beautiful Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean, has excellent cultural and recreational facilities, with superb housing and excellent schools. There is good rail and road access to Bristol, Birmingham, South Wales and London.
Applicants should hold Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Neurology or be within six months of CCST at the time of the Advisory Appointments Committee. Whole time, part time or job share applicants welcome. Relocation expenses, flexible working arrangements and support with childcare are available.
