The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has entered a new era, with £360 million developments at Pinderfields and Pontefract, that will revolutionise the life of our staff and patients, complimenting the already award winning facilities at Dewsbury.
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, for a period of nine months in the first instance, arising as a result of maternity leave. The primary base will be the Pinderfields Hospital.

Applicants should be on the General Medical Council’s (GMC’s) Specialist Register, or within six months of achieving the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and gaining entry onto this Register. Should applicants be currently or recently employed as a Consultant or Locum Consultant, the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reserves the right to request a reference from the Medical Director of any previous or current employing organisation.
This Locum post will be on the basis of the new Consultant Contract laid down by the Hospital Medical and Dental Staff Terms and Conditions of Service and General Whitley Council, and will be remunerated as appropriate on the salary scale: £74,504-£100,446 per annum.
