Profile
The Northern Deanery is different…
People who do their specialty training in the Northern Deanery get much more than just high quality training. In addition to our first class exam preparation, excellent clinical and academic supervision and the breadth of experience provided, we offer excellent personal support.
We’ve tailored our training here to help you achieve a good work/life balance in our fantastic region, which boasts a unique geography. How many other training programmes enable you to finish a shift and catch a wave, hit the shops (and afford it – our cost of living is the lowest in the country) or go seal watching in the evening...and still pass your professional examinations?
The GMC 2012 survey results are a testimony to the commitment of our clinical colleagues and trainees across the region.
Six of the 13 indicator scores where the “great” Northern Deanery scored top marks are:
- 90.12 - highest score for clinical supervision in whole of UK
