Fixed Term Contract for up to 24 months
Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners holding a licence to practice and possessing MRCP or equivalent to join a multi-disciplinary team in Leicester studying the mechanisms of action of a novel and specific inhibitor of the BTK kinase both in vitro and in vivo in patients entering a phase I clinical study. Other BTK inhibitors have shown considerable activity in patients with a range of B-cell malignancies. It is anticipated that the inhibitor will show enhanced efficacy and reduced toxicity in view of its better specificity. You will play a major role not only in the management of the clinical trial, (identifying and managing patients on this first-in-man study) but also in laboratory studies to elucidate modes of action in vivo.
