Ten Programmed Activities (PAs)
We seek a fully trained Clinical Cardiologist with special expertise in Interventional Cardiology but also with an interest in Cardiac Imaging. The main focus of the work will be based at the Central Middlesex Hospital site of the Trust. Here, the successful applicant will have responsibility for the eight bed Coronary Care Unit, other Cardiology inpatients, plus Outpatient Clinics and Pacing Implant Service. This will be done in Partnership with another Consultant colleague. There is also a requirement to participate in the GIM take.
The Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterisation and Angioplasty work will be carried out at the Northwick Park Hospital site. Work is in progress to develop a CT Angiogram Service and weekly CT Calcium Scoring sessions are now being held at the Central Middlesex site. An interest in this Service would be welcome.
The Trust has an international reputation for Cardiac Imaging, and it is expected that the postholder will be able to provide clinical governance oversight to the Transthoracic Echo Service and delivering Stress Echo and TOEs at the Central Middlesex site.
Applicants must have, or be within six months of, their Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Cardiology and General Medicine at the time of interview.
