Ten Programmed Activities (PAs)
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine at Southend University Hospital, to commence as soon as possible. You will join the existing Consultants and Multidisciplinary Team to enhance and improve the Sexual Health Medicine, HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health Services provided by the Trust.
The Department is self-contained on the first floor of the purpose built new building, The Carlingford Centre, which is within the hospital grounds. There is one Sexual Health Consultant and one Infectious Disease Consultant currently in post.
Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a Teaching Hospital, linked to the London University and is also the Cancer Centre for South Essex, which is part of the Essex Cancer network. This busy District General Hospital (DGH) serves a population of 330,000. We currently employ over 3,782 Whole Time Equivalent (WTE) staff, with a total complement of 164 Consultant staff. We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent rail links to London. The Trust has an excellent Postgraduate Medical Centre which carries a full programme of events and offers access to a Medical Library.
