The Department of Rheumatology provides a comprehensive service to the population of Grampian (population approximately 520,000), based in a large Teaching Hospital but with a strong and increasing community focus. There is an expanding Day Case Unit and a busy Outpatient Department, currently based at Woolmanhill Hospital in the centre of the city. At present, peripheral Clinics are provided in Elgin and Orkney.
The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive Clinical Service with a strong focus on Inflammatory Joint Disease, but will have the opportunity to develop subspecialty interests to complement those which currently exist within the Department.
Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility of Specialist Registration (CESR)(CP) at the time of interview for the post.
