Two full time posts
Based at the Aspen Centre, Warwick
These two posts offer an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly developing specialist Eating Disorders Service with a national reputation. One is a replacement post and the other is a new post, which is designed to support the enlargement of the Service. We are looking for two enthusiastic and energetic Doctors who want to work in this field, and training will be provided in specialist aspects of the work.
 You will join an integrated, Multidisciplinary Team, led by a full time Consultant in Eating Disorders. The Service provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment. The posts are based in a newly refurbished, self-contained building, which houses a 15 bed Inpatient Unit and Outpatient facilities. The Unit is located on the site of a General Hospital, and has access to the full range of supporting Medical facilities.
 You will work within a well-established and supportive team. There is a strong Psychotherapeutic culture within the Service, with opportunities for training. The Unit also has expertise in the management of medically complex patients and runs a Specialist Clinic for Eating Disorders and Diabetes. The Service has close links with Warwick University Medical School and there are opportunities for Research.
 The posts attract ten Programmed Activities but there may be the opportunity for Extra Programmed Activities for applicants who wish to join the General Psychiatry on-call rota. You will need full General Medical Council (GMC) Registration, MRCPsych Part I (or equivalent), a minimum of four years’ (or equivalent) Postgraduate Training, two of which must have been in a relevant specialty, and be approved or eligible for approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act. In addition, you will need to be a car owner and holder of a driving licence, or be able to make appropriate arrangements for travel for the purposes of your employment.
 Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Partnership Trust provides a comprehensive range of Mental Health Services. The Trust is also a Teaching Institution, receiving Medical Students from Warwick Medical School, trainees from the Coventry and Warwickshire Rotational Training Scheme and higher trainees from the West Midlands Rotation.
