GASTROENTEROLOGY AND ENDOSCOPY

An exciting opportunity at Specialty Registrar level is available for 12 months. This post combines Clinical Gastroenterology with research in the field of advanced Endoscopy techniques. The post has a commitment to five Endoscopy sessions, with the remainder of the time committed to research.
 The project will be based at the Northern General Hospital with Dr Shawinder Johal and Dr Stuart Riley. Applicants will have MRCP or equivalent. It is preferable for applicants to have a numbered training position within Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and to be independent with diagnostic Colonoscopy. This post may carry partial recognition for Higher Specialist Training. This is a unique opportunity to gain Specialist Clinical and Research experience in a forward thinking Department. The Directorate has obtained over £2 million funding since 1998, with over 200 publications. Previous Fellows have been awarded their MDs and published up to 20 publications (3-5 original papers).
