Secondary Care Specialist Members of CCG Governing Bodies

Four posts, part time, one-two sessions per month

Fixed term - two years

Newbury, North and West Reading, South Reading and Wokingham Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are seeking enthusiastic Clinical Leaders to join their respective Governing Bodies. These CCGs are working towards authorisation as statutory bodies under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. The Act puts local GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of commissioning services for local people.

As a member of the CCGs’ Governing Bodies, these roles will share responsibility as part of the team to ensure that the CCG exercises its functions effectively, with good governance and in accordance with its constitution. As an established Consultant, you will bring a secondary care perspective to underpin the work of the CCG. For Consultants who wish to apply and who are not currently practising, you will need to have recent clinical experience. To succeed in these roles, you will be a highly regarded Clinical Leader with experience of working across a number of disciplines and/or a track record of collaborative working.

An understanding of health and social care services in Berkshire West would be welcome. These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the commissioning of high quality health services to improve patient outcomes.

This trust positively welcomes applications from those who have personal experience of mental health issues. A disabled applicant who meets the minimum criteria will be interviewed. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
