Make a critical difference.

Bring evidence-based decision support into clinical workflow.

Evidence Centre Implementation Lead

Grade 4

The BMJ aims to improve the quality of healthcare by informing doctors and patients about the most appropriate treatments based on the best available clinical evidence. This senior role within our Evidence Centre focuses on the implementation of BMJ products and services. The products provide Clinical Decision Support and Consumer Health capability to clients, as web-based tools functioning on a standalone basis or integrated with client’s clinical portals and electronic patient record systems. The tools and content are based on high quality guidance, evidence and best practice, and are locally customisable to reflect each client’s workflows and individual patient requirements.

You’ll have overall responsibility for the implementation of these innovative products and services. You will own and refine the Implementation methodology and manage the implementation team and all aspects of implementation work. Your role will also involve liaising with and supporting the other components of the product and service lifecycle, including marketing, client engagement, sales and product development. In addition you will also be required to act as an ambassador in a wider capacity to promote BMJ Evidence Centre products, within the UK and internationally.

This is a unique chance for a clinician with implementation experience to develop their career with one of the world’s leading medical publishers. We’re looking for a health sciences degree, and ideally a postgraduate qualification, along with experience in a range of clinical settings. You will need to have detailed knowledge regarding all aspects of implementation of clinical decision support tools on both a standalone and an integrated basis, as well as a working knowledge of clinical decision support content production and publication. Strong people, project management and communication skills are essential. You’ll need a consultative style, yet be confident and capable about making and managing all aspects of Evidence Centre product and service implementation.
