The Professor Christopher Chen, Chair in Reproductive Medicine

Significant leadership role in Research into Reproductive and Infertility Medicine.

The University of Queensland seeks to appoint a dynamic individual at Professorial level to establish a sustainable internationally-competitive Research Programme related to Reproductive and Infertility Medicine. The successful applicant will be expected to have extensive clinical experience and demonstrate a visionary approach to Reproductive Research.

Based in the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the School of Medicine, this position will have modern laboratory facilities provided as appropriate. Service and Clinical Research activities could be based at the Queensland Fertility Group, a large private fertility provider, and/or The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Applicants should possess Postgraduate qualifications, such as a PhD or equivalent, and qualifications permitting registration as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Queensland.

Subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, or equivalent, is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in leadership and management within a complex and multidisciplinary Clinical and Research environment.

The Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Medicine are a major force in Health Education and Research in Australia and globally, and achieved outstanding results in the recent Excellence in Research for Australia survey.
