Applications are invited for this replacement Consultant post. Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or a Certificate of Eligibility of Specialist Registration (CESR)(CP) at the time of interview for the post. Full registration with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC) is required. The postholder will be responsible for leadership of a Mental Health Team, providing General Adult Psychiatric Services to a catchment population in Aberdeenshire. Catchment populations are based on Primary Care and there is close liaison between Mental Health Teams and General Practice. There is a full range of specialist services including Old Age Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Liaison Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Substance Misuse. The service has fully accredited schemes for Run Through Training in Psychiatry.
