Applications are invited for appointment to Locum Appointment for Training (LAT) posts on the Specialist Training Programmes in Allergy in London at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for a period of six months (with a possible extension up to twelve months).
LAT posts do not attract a National Training Number, although up to one year may subsequently count towards the award of the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) on the advice of the Royal College of Allergy from whom recognition must be obtained prospectively.
All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC. FRCS/MRCP Part I or equivalent is essential for entry to the programme. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that these placements and/or programmes have the required educational and dean’s approval. The Training Programme is equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train flexibly or jobshare.  Applicants need to be aware that although trainees’ preferences are considered when making decisions on placements, final decisions take into account the service needs of all sites within our training programmes.
In the event of further training opportunities becoming available in any of the programmes managed by the London Deanery, shortlisted candidates may also be considered for these posts.
