The post of Spinal Fellow at the Royal Derby Hospital is available for a period of six months. The hospital has a state of the art Postgraduate Training Library and a variety of teaching and clinical audit sessions occur throughout each month. The specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedics in Derby is comprised of 8 purpose-built theatres as well as outpatient clinic facilities. This is one of the largest Orthopaedic Departments in the country and a wide variety of Spinal Surgery is performed by the Spinal Surgeons.
 We are looking for a qualified Orthopaedic Trainee with a special interest in Spinal Surgery. The post offers advanced training and experience in all aspects of Knee Surgery and would be most suitable for a Year 5 or Year 6 Trainee with FRCS (Orth).
 It should be noted that this post does not have a National Training Number associated with it, but has been approved retrospectively by the SAC. Informal visits will only be arranged for shortlisted candidates.
