Terms and conditions

1. General

The date of the competition is 3-10 February 2012. Entries submitted after this date will not be considered.

2. Restrictions

This competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland aged sixteen (16) and over only. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of “BMJ Careers” and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.

3. Rules to participate

All you need to do to enter is re-tweet the competition message and follow @bmjcareers on Twitter

No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this competition.

Entries submitted before the open date and/or after the close date will not be counted.

The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
 
4. Prize

The winner will receive the stated prize as listed in the competition message.

The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries.

There are no alternatives to this prize. The prize is as stated and is non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of BMJ Careers, BMJ Careers is unable to provide the stated prize, BMJ Careers reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal value. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier.

5. Results

The winner will be contacted by a direct message to their Twitter inbox.

If the winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by BMJ Careers, BMJ Careers will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.

The winner will be announced via Twitter.

If proof of age is requested, and if satisfactory proof of age is not received, the Promoter reserves the rights to choose another winner.

6. General Conditions

Any entry which does not comply with the rules may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of BMJ Careers. BMJ Careers is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.
 
Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.

7. Data protection

In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.

By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.
