Private school pupils are disproportionately under-represented at medical school

33 per cent of pupils getting AAA or better at A- level are.educated at private schools, so if they only make up 26 per cent of medical students they either are tending not to choose to study medicine or are less successful than state school pupils in getting into medical school.
